Instructions: Design a Stamp
1. Stamp meaning:
an instrument for stamping a pattern or mark, in particular an engraved or inked block or die;
a small adhesive piece of paper stuck to something to show that an amount of money has been paid, in particular a postage stamp.
2. Aim of a stamp: Creating a seal, an emblem, a stamp used by partner schools for identification project purposes.
3. Graphic element of a stamp design can fall into one of some categories:
Emblem - coat of arms, flag, mixed national symbol, world symbol etc;
Numeric - a design built around the numeral of value;
Pictorial - drawings.
4. Instructions. Design a Stamp.
You can use one or some of these instructions:
Choose a subject of world importance that is also meaningful to you.
Use a Stamp Frame template for your design.
Review your handouts on elements of Art, Principles of Design, Art Vocabulary, and acceptable subjects. Use several design elements to make your subject stand out.
Your subject should be center of the image.
Choose some words to include in your stamp. Keep the words legible and neat but also interesting.
Include /if you want/ stamp quality and countries of origin.
